Notes on power plugs:
 

  • The Speed Demon Teen Driving Monitor requires a continuous power source. Most US vehicle manufacturers provide a continuously powered plug on the dashboard.
  • Most foreign vehicle manufacturers shut off the dashboard power plug when the ignition is switched off.  You must use the OBD power connector for these vehicles.
  • The OBD power connector is compatible and recommended for all vehicle installations.
